Default Valley hose and air plenum help

On my 2005 xk8, I replaced the cooling system at 60000 miles except for the valley hoses. I followed all of my fellow Jag owners posts etc. The plenum refused to detach , I tapped on the edges, tried everything but make a sacrifice to Zeus. I was concerned I would crack or punch a hole. It was like welded on

I am experiencing severe coolant loss ,the low coolant l warning indicator popped up 20 minutes and 15 miles. I monitor the temp with an obd reader so no overheating. She is a garage queen at this time

I have all the parts. I plan to replace the norma connection with a copper connector and clamps also I plan to use a high temp sleeve over the hoses

Any thoughts comments, suggestions , of sussessfully removing this would be appreciated and thoughts on my modifications favorable, unfavorable or your opinion

Forgive the stupid question, but are you certain you removed all the fixings? I assume you were trying to lift the plenum and throttle body elbow at the same time?

Good Question

I believe we removed the throttle body. I will have to look again at the engine to confirm my recall from memory and thanks for your reply.

On the earlier cars, there's a couple of bolts supporting the induction elbow which also need to be removed before the manifold comes free. I can't see a step in the 2003 & 2004 JTIS procedures for this. May be different for the 4.2L or JTIS could be wrong?

I'm going to second the notion that a mystery bolt, or two, wasn't removed. The only thing holding the intake in place, once the bolts are removed, is an o-ring. Well, 8 of them. Unless a moronic PO glued them down with RTV or something.

I too was stuck until I found the last well-hidden bolt under the throttle body.
