Default Voltage problem help needed please

HI,
My Xk8 came back with the tow truck today,
It gave my wife all kind of messages.. ABS, Low brake oil,
restricted power, yellow engine light,etc.
I Just put the code reader on it and no code just the habitual p0111
I have checked the voltage at the battery and it is 11.5v so I
started the car and it goes down to 10.4v So I think the Alternator
is shut. It looks like quite a job to replace, anyone has a
procedure for it or any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks
AJ

JTIS does but it appears to be a real bear. Have the CD? Want me to PM the instructions?

You may just have a weak battery. No load testing can give good results. It can show proper voltage, but when a load it put on it, it can take the voltage down to a point that can give all kinds of errors. Put a load tester on it to check it properly.
