Does anyone on this forum have experience in changing the automatic over to a manual tranny? Love the engine...hate the auto

 

Most be some kit or change available to put a manual trans in???/

 

There's a guy in the UK who's done it and he's also running about 600bhp. Have a look at pistonheads.com. I'll try and find the thread with info and post it here.

Thanks Avos! I would like to use a readily available trans like the GM 6 speed or Gertrag units. They are available in the used parts houses inexpensively.

I would also like to have someone do it for me in the eastern PA area/NJ area that is reasonable.

My engine runs and looks like new inside but the tranny is just no fun and slow to shift.

 

Which model do you have?
