It sounds like one of four things:

*Bad ABS module
*Bad wheel speed sensor
*Weak battery
*Dirty wheel speed sensor.

(Listed from worst to least worst)

Since you got it on a start-up, I believe it to be a weak battery. Very common symptom!

Warning lights went away. Took it to the mechanic for code check: Bad front left wheel speed sensor. He said drive it for awhile and see it if comes back.

"Bad" doesn't necessarily mean bad. It might just be dirty. They are very very easy to clean. Turn the wheel to the left and you can easily access the sensor. One bolt and a single plug disconnects it. Clean it with brake cleaner, or in the kitchen sink with a toothbrush.

Clean them all up it is very easy. I use electronic parts cleaner. I think its a 10mm nut to remove. Spray off the exciter gears also. the sensor is the thing connected to the end of the wire and is mounted just above the mulit toothed gear on the back of the disc. The first time is pulled mine was at 60k and they were black and nasty.

If you decide to clean the sensors, here are the instructions: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=37434 I have since learned that the front sensors can be cleaned without removed the wheel.

Chazaroo,

I have another suspect for you. Especially if the light came on before the car moved. (Dirty sensors, pretty sure, can't cause trouble until the car is in motion)

Wiring/connectors to one or both front wheel sensors: the connectors can get stressed and/or there can be a break within that last section of wiring that goes to the sensor (the piece that has to flex as the car turns left/right.

Sometimes pulling and reseating the connectors to clean the sensors gives a temporary fix.

Actually, one of FIVE things, the fifth one being "typical Jaguar electrical gremlins"
