Default Watta Ride!

Positive stuff here on the 1999 XK8 I am lucky to own.

For the second year in a row I drove from KC to Miami for extended time at the beach.

This car was dream to drive down and back. Flawless ride and a great cruise. In Miami I paid for the best detail service I could find and my baby was just gorgeous. Top down at 80' while people here just about froze to death.

The highway between Nashville and Chattanooga is a lot of fun in one of these cars!!!

All good. Back in the garage after a thorough bath and lookin good!

No qusestion about it the XKs are a dream on the highway or around town. I was wondering, how many miles to you have on your car? Also, on a long trip like KC to Miami did you notice any rear differential gear whine on the highway?

When I bought the car it had almost 28,000. Just before I left I had the 40,000 mile service at 38,000 miles.

I have never noticed a whine and there is some top noise driving so it might cover it up?

There is really curvy winding stretch of highway between Nashville and Chattanooga that was really really fun!
