Wet rear floor
Hi All,
I'm hoping against hope since I haven't pulled anything apart yet, but my carpet behind the driver's seat on my 2000 XK8 convertible is pretty damp with an oily feel. Which hose would most likely be routed in the center of the floor?
Do the hoses tend to break mid run? Can they be repaired, or is it more prudent to just replace ALL hoses?
Much thanks,

Pull the back seat up ..if its full of water you have a leaking side window. The water fills the space under the rear seat and overflows into the rear area and then runs forwards to rot out the drivers floor pan...that was my 97 experience
The hydraulic hoses for the convertible top is routed along the transmission tunnel on the driver side, from the back seat and to the front of the driver seat. (on LHD cars)
It is rather unlikely that the hoses fails there but who knows? :-)

Good chance it's the ram but normally there will be a puddle at the back of the door on the ground.
If you look at the hoses in the trunk on the passenger side, right beside the tank, they run from the pump to the areas needed in the car.
Genberally you can see the flacking of the outside of the hoses all over the floor.
