Default What is this coolant connector called?

I have my transmission off and noticed a pretty strong coolant leak coming from this 3-way connector. I am thinking I should replace the connector and maybe cut a bit of the hoses off to get a new seal, hopefully there is enough play in the hoses to cut off a qtr inch or so.

I already wiped up the fluid, but it was a good amount.

That's part of the overall "octopus" rat's nest. The T-connector is made of composite and rots away and leaks after a couple of decades. Here's a link so you can see a pic

^^ Biodegradeable
At least it's a cheap replacement (around $5) NNE3944BA. Replace the 'O' ring at the same time:- it's on the mating connection on the octopus.

However...
If the octopus and valley hoses are of any age, then they're candidates for some PM. depends how deep you want to dive.

the octopus hose is still supple but it is so easy to get to with the transmission out, i figured i would put a new one in. I did notice a small leak from the connector in the center.

Yes - that's yet another biodegradeable part & fairly common failure. It is available separately ( MJA6732CA ) but expensive (~$50).

Probably better to bite the bullet and replace complete, although the OEM octopus is beyond the $200 barrier these days

You've also got a nice clear shot at the heater pump while the trans is out

I thought for heater pumps you had to rebuild them, so not sure if it is worth messing with a working unit. Are there any good options for purchase?

I was only half serious.
I did the brushes on mine - it was working OK, but I was doing a full plumbing refurb.

They were quite worn at 34K.

I'm still procrastinating about putting a separate switch to control it, as it's running all the time once the motor gets warm.

do you by any chance remember the brush size you used, probably makes sense to swap those out. My cabin is pretty slow to warm right now.

IIRC I got them from Amazon, but I can't remember the dimensions*.

However, member Racediagnostics did post them, I think it was in a refurb thread. I'm on my mobile ATM so searching is a PITA.

Two notes:
1) *You'll likely need to file the new brushes to fit exactly and;

2) Make sure the brushes are for a low- voltage motor. I think the ones for mains-powered motors are made with a different carbon recipe (higher resistance).
