Hello Fellow Enthusiast,
1997 Jaguar XK8 Convertible. Passenger front right currently. I was rebuilding my front suspension shocks ball joints, etc. I had to remove my brakes and drums due to remove one of the ball joints. It was pretty much rust welded in there, but that is another story. I had all my shims properly placed and everything torqued to spec when I noticed the piece below. The center tab was bent over. I have absolutely no idea what it is or where it goes. I did have to remove 2 power steering rack bolts to allow me to remove the lower A arm bolt. I looked at suspension parts diagrams, brake diagrams and can’t find it. Does anyone know where this goes?

It attaches the the bottom of the brake disc guard, right most in first image below.
