Thumbs up What do we call our two Jag Family?

I take pride in announcing that today, we became a two Jag family! This morning I found and bought a beautiful 2005 XJ Super V8, which will be delivered this week! (I'm not braggin', I'm just happy!)

Earlier today, Mrs. Growl-R and I had a discussion that finally led to answering the nagging question, "What do you call a group of Jaguars living together?". After debating whether it was called a pride, a jamboree, or a leap, we came to a stalemate. Mrs. Growl-R being the logical person that she is, pointed out that Jaguars in the wild don't live together (except for a mother and her cubs), the adults just meet up occasionally to mate, so there is no need to have a name for a group of Jaguars.

Leave it to our sixteen year old son to figure it out for all of mankind. He said "I know what a group of Jaguars in our driveway is called... it's F****n' Awesome!" There you go, he said it, he dropped the F-Bomb and all! I wanted to be angry with him for cursing, but you know what...I have to agree with him!

Cheers!

Jon

And for those wondering, yes we do like cars in other colors besides black!

NICE! I have two Jaguars as well, but my problem is I live alone so one doesn't get driven much! I have a one car driveway and garage making it a hassle to swap them.

So, although I agree with your son, I have to admit for me it's more like a PITA!

Congrats on the second Jaguar....

We're also a two-Jag family. We've had the S-Type since December 2008. My wife has had her XK8 since February 2012. When we had just the S-Type (along with my Ram pickup and my wife's now-sold-and-gone Lexus RX330 SUV), it was referred to as "the Jaguar". Ever since her XK8 joined our stable, we've referred to them by their model names. So it's "we're taking the S-Type" or "we're taking the XK8". Not very creative, I know. Perhaps it would be easier to call them "the grey one" and "the white one"....

I'm also a two jaguar pride!! Was a three!!
I don't know why but I call my XF "big cat" and my XK8 "little cat" although the XK8 is by no means little!!
My nephew named his cats (felines) the same!!

Let me be the first to offer help with that. I have a two-car garage and would be happy to help you solve this problem.

Since both of our jags are black your solution won't work for us. I'm sure the resourceful Mrs. Growl-R will figure it out though… She'll drive the one with the full tank of gas!

Cheers!

When I had 2 Jags, one was the convertible and one the sedan. Not very creative.

In the UK having two Jags would make you a 'Prescott'

Well, since you're being so generous…you can pick. Don't even worry about filling the tank.

I'm sure your boy will mind his manners a bit more and when you get him the true F-word or is that F-type and turn that driveway into a shared litterbox.

Two Jags here, as well. However, I have three large felines in my stable, after all, isn't a Pantera a cousin to the Jaguar?

Yes the Pantera definitely qualifies as a thrice cat.
What a Car!
