I kept a spare serpentine belt, a basic socket set, torque wrench, some fuses, and a can of tyre inflate-seal. Also took extra coolant, oil, and a printed wiring diagram.

 

I kept a small toolkit, tire inflator, and jumper cables right in the boot, plus a flashlight and gloves tucked in the side panel. For stops, I booked a 4 star hotel near orchard which had a secure underground lot—felt better leaving the car overnight there. Also packed a spare serpentine belt and fuses just in case.

 

You could also add a small roll of duct tape and some zip ties—they’ve saved me more than once when trim or minor fittings started coming loose. A compact first aid kit and some basic snacks for the road never hurt either, especially on those long stretches between towns.
