Default What Are These Open Ports Bottom Radiator?

Another new car question.

What are these two open threaded ports on each side of the bottom of the radiator?

If I am not mistaken I think those are for the tow hooks.

The radiator drain plug is actually on the radiator. It's on the inside, bottom passenger side. I just happen to be working on the same area of my car when I saw the holes. I figured the only thing they could be for is towing hooks.

There are supposed to be plastic plug inserts to prevent the ingress of dirt/debris in those threaded holes.

The TOW EYE should be in the tool kit in the boot.

Toe eye is missing. Anyone show the thread as I'm sure I can get at hardware store.

The 2004 XK8 should have M16 X 3.0 LHT (Left Hand Thread)

Find a salvage yard with VW Jettas and buy one of those.
There are thousands more Jettas than there are Jaguars.
