I cycle to work, so my daily drive (ride) is a Giant Defy 3, otherwise I use the XK8 for any longer journey, wife's Fiat 500 or Punto Cabrio for short journeys.

Or perhaps you took the photo sitting in it, which is why we can't see it?
Unfortunately, our 2003 XKR was totaled in December. We replaced it with the X150.

Ah, I really miss being able to cycle to work. I did for years until we changed professions and now need to carry 500 lbs worth of stuff everyday.

Well, there were days that weren’t so pleasant, like hitting black ice or my derailleur freezing, but I do miss unwiding from work and not having to “find” time to ride.

I rode a Pro Flex 957 for years...well, I still ride it. I guess it’s considered a retro MTB now.

my xk8 as long as there is no salt on the roads and not traveling on bad surfaces, awful areas or where there is excessive risk of damage. in other words looking for every reason to take out the xk8. unless steady rain, roof is opened. did not intend to drive the car even for daily errands, but it is just so pleasing. my everyday car which is now the low use car is an 08' CRV.

Jaeger, I agree with your comment about the Audi interiors in the new Jags. I like the new-to-US XF Sportbrake as a future family car but am very disappointed in its souless, Teutonic interior.

Sorry to hear that. I myself would have replaced it with another X100. But it's understandable to want something different after a while. How often do you drive your 575 by the way, if I may ask?

I was going to keep quite. Believe me, I tried. Really, really hard.

But...uh...how do you reconcile the classic beauty which is a X100 with, this?

I like your attitude.

We could call it the anti- Ferrari owner attitude. Drive the cool car as much as possible instead of safe guarding the cool car for years for its next owner.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, if we have to have a winner, this man is hard to beat. You are out in style no matter what you drive. Excellent taste in wheels!

I personally think it's a bit of the old if you can't beat them just join them thing. German luxury cars seem to do well, so as of lately there are many manufacturers trying to imitate. It used to be that only Lexus and Acuras tried to look like German luxury cars. Now it seems everybody is trying. Pity really. I always liked British cars as they were. It will be a while till the XE, XF and new XJ grow on me. Also from the exterior.

At least they got it spot on with the F-Type.

I’ve had the 575 for 11+ years. The first 4 years I owned it, it was my daily driver (only car). I only stopped when we had our 2nd child as I did daycare pickup.

I don’t get to drive it much now as it’s rarely just me or me+1. That’s why we bought the X100 and E-Type, for family activities. My 575 is a rare 3-pedal version and an absolute joy to drive. It’s really like nothing else. So poised and solid but a complete monster when you want.

I chose the X150 as I put so much time/money/effort into the X100 I didn’t think I could do it again.

I drive a 1977 Triumph TR7, the E-type, and a 1966 Triumph Spitfire in rotation. The 2002 VDP is my wife's grocery-getter (she works from home) when she's not using the Corvair.
Blue Six (a 1985 XJ6 SIII) will be added into the rotation in a few weeks, hopefully.

My wife drives an Audi A6. I use an Audi Q7 in the winter. In good weather, I split time between the XK8 and a Mercedes SLK.
