I am making my list of bushings to redo the front suspension on my 2001 XK8, low miles but, 15 years old and I never see anyone address the steering rack bushings. My research indicates one bushing is around $33 and the other is only $12. Are they really different enough to warrant that kind of price difference?

 

I replaced mine (no reason, just did all the rest of the front rubber and thought might as well).

They are not appreciably different, as I recall and nothing to explain double the price.

It might be just a matter of availability. I checked the R package version and they are very similar at ~$15 each for either one. Theoretically they are a little stiffer, but it might be worth considering.
