Jaguar locking nuts are coded A to K with a matching adaptor to remove them. P/N is MNA6264AAx where x=1 for code A, x=2 for code B through to x=11 for code K.
The locknuts are the first thing I remove and replace with standard nuts when I get Jaguar. If someone wants the wheels, a locknut isn't going to stop them. I've had a Jaguar stolen before but never had a wheel stolen.

I agree it seems like a leftover behavior from the '90s, right up there with radio codes. How often do wheels get stolen these days, anyway? These locks always seem to get in the way when tire work comes into play, either in the dark on the side of the road, or at the tire shop.
OTOH, if you have one of these super rare set of wheels, why not add a layer of security? Or do like this guy that put his name and number _inside_ the tire, instructing any tire shop to call him if found, and managed to recover a set of stolen wheels that way...
