OK Rev....now its time to jack her up and start polishing the undercarriage . Here is some inspiration:

And to top it off, Bleasie is over 70 years old and he still crawls under and cleans it.

I've actually done that. I already had the wheels off for some reason and I decided to go ahead and clean them. I used brake cleaner, then wheel cleaner, then regular old Formula 409. They looked soooo much better when I was done. I actually need to do it again. I don't think you realize it, but the inner rim accumulates a lot of brake dust. I'm talking about the part of the rim that is behind the spokes but still visible from the outside. When I got my car that part of the rim was a charcoal gray color. It looked fine, like that's just the color that it is supposed to be. But when I sprayed it with the brake cleaner I realized that it is actually the same color as the rest of the rim. Now from experience I can tell you that it looks good when it is clean, it looks good when it's so dirty that it's a solid gray, but when it's in the process of getting dirty it looks terrible.

What you're referring to is removing the wheels and cleaning the gunk inside. We ALL do that. No, the BMW owner removed the wheels and then took the tyres off the rims to clean inside where the tyre normally sits!! You still have a way to go, Rev

We ALL do that? I'm going to have to do something different, then. I might just spray paint mine flat black next time I have the rims off. That way the dirt doesn't show through the spokes.

Uhhh, I'm a clean freak, and I only clean the inside of the wheels maybe once a year. I'd wager (that's the second time Iv'e wagered on the forum tonight) maybe 1 out of 20 do the inside of the rims every time it gets washed. I smell a poll.

I'm just jealous you guys are cleaning and driving your cars. I was hoping to get mine out because the weather was looking up last week, then bam - 6" of snow on Monday that is still on the ground.

Amazing what the Gulf Stream can do to a climate. We are on the same lattitude as NY, but we never get snow in March. It's 20° here today.

I'm with Matt I'll clean mine about once a year. Usually at the end of July a week or two before our clubs show. I'll power wash them the best I can through out the year. They're a little easier to get to, 5 spokes, than a lot of other styles.
