In the U.S. "Wheeler Dealers" is available on the Velocity Channel.

I watch it all the time. It's a bit hilarious for sure. The tall guy is a pretty darn good mechanic, but the "dealer" is just plain annoying. The fact that he is ecstatic over making 500 quid on a car they spend two weeks working on is amazing.

Now, I find my self saying "crackin'" all the time.

To see the link I think the OP intended to post, click HERE.

A few months ago, on the British XK8 forum, a Wheeler Dealers producer posted that they were looking for a top-notch XK8, for the intro portion of an episode- they'll use the nice car as an example up front, and then go find one to renovate themselves. The chap they seemed to have connected with has an award-winning XK8 in Great Britain somewhere.

So, we know there's an XK8 episode coming soon...I've been on the lookout for it. The car they're giving away in the link above is the car they refurbished for the episode...perhaps they couldn't sell it!

BTW, I agree on the show's hosts....Edd China is pretty great and I learn something from him everytime...I could do without the "dealer" altogether.

OK then.

I must ask... what makes for an award winning XK8? A race? Being owned by nobility? Inquiring minds...

Wheeler Dealers is one of my favorite shows. I watch it every chance i get. Ed is a great mechanic. Wish he lived in Philly. The show is "spot on" as Mike would say.

I believe the guy has a 1998 and won "Best XK8 / R" at the 2011 "Growler" meet in the UK, where I imagine there are many, many Jags showing up for review.

Just took a look at that UK forum, found HERE, and they're saying the XK8 episode is airing next week, at least on that side of the pond.

We should start a pool on what they will find and fix. Leaking p/s return line and RH sway bar mount bushing? Brake light switch? Dash bulbs? Taillight grounds? Rattling lower shock mounts? Or go straight to the big money - grinding timing chains and tensioners and broken 'A' drum?

I like the show, but when Ed China works on the cars he never cleans anything... They just replace the part. Everything not organic rusts in Great Britain and their cars look horrible; so when he pulls off a parts, he never does anything to make the rest of the car look better.

To make matters worse, the shiny new parts are usually put back on with old rusting fasteners. My pet peeve is reinstalling pitted chrome back into new paint. Ugh.

Default Wheeler Dealers XJS Next Wednesday

AS Paul Pavlic says, it is on the "Velocity Channel". I watch it regularly, and just for you XJS owners, this car is the subject car next Wednesday Night, with a repeat programme early Thursday Morning.

YES only 500 quid profit, but think about the money they are making on the production of the programme

Of course they did, who else would they have contacted? Your reputation is apparently vast! So they didn't come to your shop and negotiate some salvage parts? lol

Yup. They'd have to make the money on the production 'cause no one could survive on their "deals".

But if this is going to be the "final episode" what will 'little screechy' do for a living? Will he find a crackin' new job?

The English use the phrase Series to refer to both what we'd call a season, and what we call a series. I'm curious to see which one they'd be meaning; given the fanbase for the show, I'd be surprised if things were ending for good.

Why do they do this? English people are obtuse.

I'm disappointed. When I read the thread title, I thought they bought an XK.

Are you being offensive to "english people"or just racist?
you have had one post removed for your insulting remarks.I am english and am aware of what obtuse means"laking of insight or discernment" "unable to grasp the implications of his/her behavior" I find your remarks offensive..
