Default Where is the audible warning chime?

Part of the Chime that comes on when you turn the ignition to on is going haywire in my car and going off regularly while the care is parked.

When you turn the ignition switch to the on position you get a "ding-dong" sound. Ihe part of the chime that makes the "dong" half of that is going off regularly while the car is parked, for much longer too, just making that lower tone for about 10 seconds to a minute and a half at a time at random intervals. This is lower pitch tone, not the one the high pitched tone that sounds when you open a door with a key in, so it is not a failing door switch.

Where is this located so I can either remove or replace it?

Before tearing in to the chime you might want to try some spray lubricant on the small door where the key is inserted. If i isn't closing completely it will cause the chime to go off intermittently.

I wouldn't think so. When you say the trunk won't open do you mean by the key fob, dash button or using the key in the lock?

It would not open by the button on the back while the speaker was on and making noise. I did not try the key fob. I opened it with the key then shut it and tried again several times and it was consistent - while the chime speaker was making noise it would not open with the button. When the noise stopped it would open. Just a thought - the BPM sending a "key in ignition" signal to the security module which then will not activate the solenoid?

I ended up disconnecting the battery yesterday (I was working in the garage and it was annoying me). I lubricated the ignition cylinder like you suggested while the battery was disconnected. When I reconnected the battery the noise did not come back. So either it was the ignition switch grounding or it is intermittent jaguar electronics.
