Hey all,
I'm in need of new front wheel harnesses for the wheel speed sensors (Both Sides). I'm looking around online and i see lots of the actual sensors (my sensors are fine, i just need the harness) but nothing on the harness, I cant even figure out what it looks like. Does anybody know:
A. what it looks like/part number etc
B. If there's a diagram somewhere showing the whole assembly?
C. Where to buy a good one for cheap? (My Mechanic quoted me $500 for both, i'm hoping there's better options than that online)
I replaced one of mine about 12 months ago - they run about $110 per side from memory - bought mine from SNG Barratt - try LJB3410AD as a part number to start - that was for my 99 car - not sure whether the harness changed on the later cars.
My local U-Pull Junk Yard always has an XJ8 or two around. The sensor end of the cables are the same, but you will have to use your old plugs where they connect to the XK8 wiring harness. Simple two-wire soldering project.
When you cut the XJ8 plug off in preparation for adding your old connector, you can slide the rubber pieces off (the ones where the cable ties fasten the cable to the control arm and the grommet where it goes through the body) and replace them with yours.
I like to buy the rear ones since they are long enough to use in any position on the XK8. The best part is they are only $3.00.
As an aside, this is a great way to get replacement sensors. Any sensor will fit any position on either car and they are far cheaper than any being sold as XK8 parts.
The plugs to the sensor are a readily available, "sueprseal" IIRC. Plust#s tot eh harness can also be found, these are Econoseal. Cable can be a extra flexible test lead type. Use the original grommets and some sleeving, and a replacement can be made very cheaply. Better than original if silicone insulated extra flexible cable is used with metal overbraid.
I repaired mine(BIG SURPRISE) There are only 2 wires, and after I soldered them, I used heat shrink tube. $3.00 investment.....Good luck.....Mike
Hi Mike how do you repair your ABS harness...Mine's starting to give intermittent issue especially after it rains...it's hard to spend $145 on new wires.
I know this post is old.
I had issues with my harnesses breaking on the jag i bought.
I repaired them with gm terminal pins that match the jaguar terminals. jaguar did not have terminals or pig tails or replacement connectors available from what i could find. The bottom connector on the ABS harness is is metric-pack connector by Packard/Deliphi many manufactures have used them.
There are pig tails available on rock auto acdelco #: PT2307 or GM: 88862226
I found a better option then having addition connection in the harness. That was to go too the GM dealer and ask for the terminal kits. (they have tons).
I will post the part numbers when i find where i wrote then down. finished product. rubber grommet and terminal before crimping parts from GM 1 terminal fitted. before taking apart.

Here is where I found my terminals and pins at GM.
Gm terminal kits: SPX Kent Moore Delphi automotive system
A) J-38125 –tray 5 (additional info: diagram 523280 REV C)
Part #15326427, amount: 4 required. (Metal terminals)
B) J-38125-tray 3 (additional info: diagram 523278 REV C)
Part #12089678, amount:4 required (rubber end grommets)
Also I did not mention but they just gave them to me for free. Thank god, got to keep the budget down. final product. used rubber grommet off old harness's so it can be secured the same. Sheaving doesn't look great, may redo if there is any issues.
