Unhappy Where is the inline fuse- I cant find it !!

Hi all 97 XK8 wiper problem,

"After i turned the wipers on when they were frozen to the windshield They now stop where ever they want to when i turn them off. Also, they only give 1/2 wipe with the delay. I have heard it could be the microswitch or a in line fuse somewhere that is not in a fuse box. Does anyone know where this would be for this year? (or actually if it is the switch or fuse?). Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,"

Is this the problem on our year model?
Do we even have that inline fuse?
I have searched hours everywhere, even parts houses to buy that wiper module------ nothing

Thanks for all help!!!!!!!

Hello JagMe! Unfortunately we can't all monitor the forum 24 hours per day. I know there have been many times that I have had a quick question but I had to wait for someone more knowledgeable to log on and see it. I doubt this problem is fuse related. A fuse would just cause the wipers to stop. When I get home I'll look at the electrical guide and see if I can figure out what tells the wipers to stop at the bottom of the stroke.

Cool Thanks REV !!!! Just replaced whole wiper assmbly !!

But I got a better question????

The side mirrors wont move right or go up down

I cleaned and rebuilt the switch but it was only a board with no components or ICs-- Its fine.

Coincidently both right and left blinkers acted erratically for couple secs then started working properly-

My guess is that there is a flasher-mirror module somewhere unless BOTH Motors on Both sides are defective !!!!!

Your thoughts ??

Robert

Check for +12V on pin 10 (Brown/White wire) and ground on pin 20 (black wire) on the switch connector. The control is out of the driver door control module in the door.
