Default Who Has Removed Mid-Muffler?

Hey Lads,

Was curious how many of you have removed the middle muffler from your XK8?

Car is so damn quiet and I think that with that muffler removed and small ones left in place at the rear, I would get a little nicer burble?

Should would be nice to hear my car when the top is down.

Anyone?

I have Mina gallery under axle muffler delete pipes on my xkr. Very happy with note.

I had my indy remove the 2 small rear mufflers. He used the same tips and it cost me $75. Not real loud now, but just enough for my tastes. Cheap first step to try.

So you removed the final-rear mufflers? Any drone? My current XKR is Lexus hushed...not good.

I removed the middle two at the rear axle, still have the large center and rear mufflers, I like it, just a little louder and no drone.

They use minas own rear muffler with twin tail pipe each side but eliminate the jag muffler just forward of rear axle.

I eliminated my rear small mufflers. No drone at any steady speed. Sounds great on mid to full throttle.

so it appears many just removed the little ones before the rear axle and like the sound and no drone.
I hate how quiet these cars are also.

My XKR is more silent than my old xk8! Doing exhaust work is kinda permanent, wish there were more videos online to compare sounds

Like most here I also went with just a rear muffler delete, again like most I love the sound it makes without droning on the motorway etc.

These were purchased from adamesh (link below) and fitted by my local indy. BTW they also said they were impressed with how easy they went on. No rebending needed!
