You almost never see other Jaguars while driving and I've never seen another XK8/R, that is until yesterday. Yesterday and today I was driving from one customer's site to another customer's site and I saw a new XJ, an XK (X150), an XK8 (X100), and an XJ8 L. I guess it's spring and all the kitties wanted out after a long winter in the garage. The only thing, the X150 XK was driven by a hot blond that looked to be 18 or 20, with a similarly hot 18 or 20 year old blond passenger. I felt particularly old afterwards.

There are four Jaguars in my town, one of which is an XK! Rare cats... We do have live Jaguars in the jungle though.

 

plenty of jags where i travel ..but only see an xk maybe once every 10 days..quite rare to see our type of xk

 

There's a woman that lives about 4 miles from my work that drives a Carnival XK8 Vert that has the same hair color, dresses similarly (suits) and people have mixed the two of us up several times.

One of the VPs at our company drives a late 90s Blk/Blk/Blk XK8 Vert to work pretty regularly. The owners show up in everything from Bentleys to Lamborghinis, prewar to bleeding edge new and that's always neat to see.

 

I got back from a business trip yesterday and went to find my car in the car park at IAH.

There was an XKR almost identical to mine - parked right next to me.

 

When given the opportunity, I also park next to family. From the golf course a couple weeks ago... Even with mine detailed and looking sharp, I couldn't stop staring at this other one.

 

what's funny is after I got mine I noticed more jags out there, there's a guy on the next street up who has the EXACT same as mine, wheels, color, etc. parks it on the street, makes my teeth grind thinking of that. The lot I got it from seems to be pushing xk8's since they are such a bargain and are actually like 50K in reality used instead of 15k you pay for it. I don't like how trendy people are here. I used to like C300's now I see one every 3rd car. BMW is the toyota of LA numbers wise, porsche is the BMW/mercedes, etc. it's so weird here.

 

There are at least 4 or 5 in my extended neighborhood and a couple of the newer ones. There's also a really nice looking black Aston DB9 around too. There are 3 or 4 Teslas around, so I don't feel that special. haha
