Hi Guys,
I am currently running 18x8 XJR Asteroid wheels on my 98 ragtop. I can get the rear wheels widened to almost any dimension, and I would love to stuff the widest wheel/tire combination I can possible fit. I am running the stock calipers and have a slightly lowered stance. Thanks to all for a truly great forum. I couldn't afford this car without all the help you all so generously provide.

The widest I have seen without lip rolling are 295s

Thanks for the response guys. What I am hoping is that someone might be able to tell me the widest 18 inch wheel and tire combination that I can put in the rears. ie 12 inch wide rim mounted on 295/35/18.

I dont think you will get 12s but 11s should be OK, the standard 20s are 10" to 10 1/2"

 

Tonight while driving to my father-in-law's birthday dinner just outside of Beverly Hills, I pulled up alongside a 5.0L 2010-or later XKR coupe. It had rear tires nearly as wide as my Pantera's (335 35 17) with the tires protruding at least a couple of inches outside of the rear fenders. These were the widest tires I've ever seen on a Jaguar. It also had a non-stock exhaust which was very loud and raspy.
