Default window creep

Hello everyone,

The drivers window on my 2006 XK8 convertible creeps down an inch or two while parked or sitting in garage. Otherwise works fine, goes up and down. But when I return to the car I see the window has lowered about 1-2 inches. Same in my garage. Any one else have this problem?

Probably early signs that the battery will need replacement sooner rather than later. Do the window reset procedure. Lower both windows down and hold the button in the down position for a couple extra seconds until you hear a faint click. Then roll the windows up and hold the button in the up position until you hear a faint click again. Do this separately for each window.

Best of luck, keep us posted.

DWS (Dropping Window Syndrome) can usually be cured with a new battery.

Thanks for your help. I will have the battery replaced. Probably needs it, 5 years old.

I had this, but the cause was a parasitic drain. So if the new battery doesn't fix it, check that.
