The Door Window Glass Adjustment procedure mentions something called "door waist adjuster lock nuts" that are to be slackened before the adjusters are hand screwed until they abut the door glass stops. The nuts and adjusters are missing in my car.
Anyone know off the top of their head what these things are and what function they serve?
Here's the step of the procedure. The adjusters are supposed to be near the top of the door, and I have just empty threaded holes.
V, Mot sure but from their position it looks like they are the upper fasteners for the vertical window channel. I'm sure it'll be obvious when you get in there.
Nope, not positive, but like I said I do have two threaded holes in the indicated places, so I suspect it is the same.
Either way, searching the history of this board I haven't seen an answer to this question. Even if it doesn't apply to my car, maybe someday someone else would appreciate the answer.
