Default Winter lay up

Hi all, I've laid my xkr up for the winter and I'm wondering if it would be better left un locked or locked? Not a security thing but I believe they go to sleep after a while? Its connected to a battery tender so no problems there. What do you recommend? Thanks

I leave mine unlocked during winter storage mainly because if I want to do something in the car and forget the keys in the house it's a PITA to trudge back and forth the quarter mile through the 4 feet of snow to go get them.
Then there's the also the possibility of dropping the keys in the snow along the way and not finding them until the snow melts, May around here. I also leave the car on the battery tender during the winter in a heated shed and
no one can get to the back 40 in the winter except me so security is also a non issue.
