Default Wiper Blades

How long should wiper blades last? I can't get much more than a year out of mine, then they streak horribly. Is there an after market alternative?

A YEAR??? I probably change them 2 to 3 times a year. I hate streaky windows. Rainex is a miracle product, too, in my opinion. If my windows have been freshly Rainexed I can drive through the worst downpour without having to use the windshield wipers.

The silicone blades last a lot longer than the rubber blades. I haven't changed mine in 3 years and they still work fine. Just keep them clean.

Hahaha Sam, you always make me laugh! I don't drive in as much rain as you do, we get much less over here in Greensboro. I'll pick up some Rainex, I remember that was good stuff!

Thanks, George, I'll get some silicone blades as well. Any particular brand you recommend?
