Love the red. Just keep it out of the sun, unless driving. Arizona sun can be brutal on paint jobs.

Thanks. Simply gorgeous.

Alright. I'm dropping off this thread. It's not good for my health. It's making me want to go out and just buy any X100, even if not working, just to have it to look at in my garage. Have to try to stay out of here.

Do NOT purchase the first XK8/XKR you come across for sale. Use your head, not your heart. Take your time and be extremely selective based upon the knowledge you continue to acquire by studying this forum....

It took me three months to locate and purchase my wife's 2006 XK8 Victory Edition convertible. I rejected four other XK8s before I found hers. Other members here on the forum have searched for more than a year before they found the right car....

Wow.. All of these just knock my eyes out.. The most beauty since pre 1967 XKE. I don't know what they're thinking with the new cars that sort of look like too many others. Thanks for he show

Sure it's chrome. Original Jaguar I think.
Sometimes I even play with the thought of chrome plating the louvres in the bonnet

Supersprint,

Like your Wheels and Love your XKR! A Silver Coupe is a Beautiful thing! I have not seen that style Wheel here in the US but I'm sure it's a BBS...from some Photos I have seen of BBS Wheels it appears to be a Centuar, am I right?
What size are they: 18" or 20"?

MiragePro, thank you, the color is actually called Phoenix Red, still original paint, though it does have so chips. Spent first 2 years in So Cal the last 18 here in the Phoenix area. I keep her waxed and covered when not driving. In the midst of replacing things, now it's front shocks and springs .Eventually I will take her somewhere for paint restoration .i have lived here for 32 years and know full well what our heat does.

I am always open for suggestions.

A friend of mine purchased a red XK8. That was the first time I rode in one and decided I had to have one also. Unfortunately I was not able to find one for sale and settled on a black on black convertible. Keep mine garaged during the Summer as it averages 118 I have never actually washed it. Just hose it down to remove the dust and wipe it clean to remove water spots.

Hi Billy
They are 19" and come from the design/tuning company J. NOTHELLE.
BBS might very well be the manufactorer.
Cheers
Carsten

where did the “Jaguar” label on the caliper come from? Are they special calipers or just separate labels? Tom :-)

I believe it's supplied from Jaguar as standard for the 2004MY XKR.

Ditto on my 2005. The after market labels look good as well.

Beautiful Iconic E-Type, lovely XK8. Happiness is driving your Jag on a sunny day listening to its addictive soundtrack. Enjoy every moment 😎
