Xk 8 wont crank

Starter fuse 25 amp slot 3blows when turn key
Hi all, First thank you all for any insight you like to share. it is Greatly appreciated!!!
2002 xk8 Starter went bad I replaced it installed myself. turn key nothing. did a little research. found out starter solenoid 25 amp in slot 3 would blow every time turned key. checked wire going to starter solenoid seems fine does not appear to be touching ground. not sure though.
looking to remove the wire from starter and see if the fuse still blows when I turn the key. need help determining where its grounding out.
any ideas are welcome!! I do not have a schematic to trace the wire.
