So who holds the record? I am 81 in August, and looking forward to returning from Egypt to the UK in May, and extracting my 2002 XKR from hibernation. She will be pleased to see me, as I have promised to take her to the south of France this year.
Am I the oldest? Do I get a special badge?

It doesn't work. "girls are now no more to me than the beautiful flowers in my garden"

"I for one still enjoy the smell of flowers and the soft touch of their petals against my skin." (how's that for poetic license?)

I'm 57, have owned the 2002 XK8 conv. since 2007 when I decided to have a midlife crisis. It was cheaper, more practical, more reliable and SAFER than a Harley Davidson OR an affair.
First car was an Opel GT. Only reason I'm alive today is because that car only ran 1/2 the time. My senior picture in College was me crawling out from underneath it with the transmission in my hands. Now we have the Jag, a Tahoe, a MCB, 4 canoes and a John Deere with frontend loader. (Few things in life are more dangerous than a lawyer with a frontend loader).

64 and a half . My mid life crisis was a Fender Strat ( USA model of course) so the XK seemed the logical old mans toy. Now to polish my 7 motorbikes
Cheers

Your midlife crisis sound like my "good old years", except for the bikes. I wonder what awaits me in my 50s.

Three kids in various stages of college, working for peanuts in an underfunded healthcare system, and blasting down the road in your Jaguar XXX counting the days before retirement.
On the other hand, you may have the time of your life..........
Whatever, don't let the world get to you!

First car was an Opel GT.
I had a Kadett, Manta Rallye, and GT. Loved them all, wish they were still produced. And yeah, we did a few twisty back roads a little too fast. Good thing their top speed was limited by that 2 liter!

26 now, love the car and when I wear it out, I might buy another one!

The funny thing though is my xkr has been so good to me that I can't bring myself to sell it. I've even thrown around the idea of giving the car to my mom and dad once it's in high mileage because selling it for crap seems cruel when they could enjoy it!

Default My favorite toy.

I am 76 going on 35. Love my 2001 Jag and can't wait till the snow disappears. Always had other sport cars. The one I was fondest of was my 60 Bugeye Sprite. Had loads of fun racing that little bugger.

68, going on 17, which was my age when I bought my first Jaguar, a 1955 Jaguar XK140MC drophead coupe. My newly-acquired 1999 XK8 is Jaguar #10.

I'm 47, and a fresh Jaguar owner. Love it so far.
