XK Owner, What Is Your Age?
Hey Mellenia Man, (young wipper snapper). I just turned 76, still doing all my own maint on both Jags including tensioners. Love driving the XK8 (sometimes the XJ6) to the tennis court or airplane hangar to take the Long EZ for a cross country. On a nice day the motorcycle gets a work out too on the windy roads around here.
Doesn't the oldest XK8 Driver get a prize or something????

I'm 21.
I love the car because it has sophisticated technology; I have been involved with IT for 11 years. That and I work at an independent Jaguar facility so it helps having the utilities available to work on it.

after racing E-Type slot cars in my youth, I couldn't wait to get my XK8 when they came out. All the visual cues from my youth came thru on the XK8. 120,000 miles later on it, the thrill of driving that car still make my heart race.
It looks like I'm fitting right in around the average at 54. I commute in my Lincoln Town Car, which my daughter tells me is a really old person's car, and the wife uses the Jag as her daily driver for running errands, so I guess you could say it's really her car - she's 42.

Age is a frame of mind. Those of us who drive Jaguars, in my opinion, are not the run of the mill people who spend their lives conforming to what society thinks we should be, drive, or whatever, and don't pay any attention to chronological age.
