XK8 1997 convertible Window problems

Default XK8 1997 convertible Window problems

Im having a couple of issues with my front windows on my XK8 hope someone has a idea
1. When i touch the door handle the window drops slightly as i believe it should but when you close the door it doesn't automatically go back up.
2. When i drop the hood passenger window drops slightly drivers doesnt.

Ideals please i have tried resetting them.

Sounds like your reset didn't take. Try it again, more than once if needed. Also try a hard reset of the battery. Then reset the windows.

If that doesn't work, do you have any other odd symptoms? Your battery may be getting weak. Have that checked.

Brand new battery, i do have a ABS problem believe its the controller one thing at a time thats if i can ever find a code reader that will work on the 1997 model,

Even though the battery is new, the battery is the cause of this problem 19 out of 20 times. Perhaps the battery was not fully charged when it was delivered or there is something in the car draining the battery. Have it checked out.

It seems you have a problem with the driver door sensor,
work the interior light correct?
No problems with passender door?
It could be a simple contact problem.

Have checked battery and ok but i did put it on a renovating charge just to make sure sadly same problem

Check your battery cables, tight/clean connections at both ends also several members have reported bad crimps on cable ends. Put connector in a vise and tighten.
