My antena got mangled (long stupid story), what stops the motor from running either up or down? It is still attached and seems to partly go up and stop and partly do down and stop. As soon as it stops the motor stops. I'm hoping I can simply thread a new mast into it as I've read. Thoughts?

You will be very unlucky if it is anything more than a new mast required although sometimes the motor unit has to be opened up to retrieve a broken end of the toothed drive.

Thank you so much. When I pulled all the trunk cosmetic covering pieces I realized in front of the antena is the cd player, the cd amplifier and the hydraulics for the convertible top. I'm hoping threading the mast down in, will work. Otherwise its going to have to go to the dealer. Thanks again.
