Anyone out there have a solution for a front bonnet that will not release and open. When we pull the hood handle on passenger side , it releases only that side and not the drivers side , it's locked tight and will not release

 

Try having someone push down on the side that is not releasing to relieve pressure as you pull the bonnet release handle. If the latch is just stuck this may allow you to take off get enough pressure to open. May take a few attempts. Then lube and readjust the bonnet latches. Hope this helps.

Thanks a mill for your suggestion , I will try it but we have tried that and diagonally opposite pressure also and its failed, fingers crossed ....!!

 

is the cable still attached to the release lever? you saying you pull the hood handle on 'passenger side' throws me. is your car a RH car?!!! American ones have hood release LEVER on drivers side.


maybe im missing something in your question.


anyway, hopefully it's just the cable 'end ball' has broken through the lever. it's just plastic.

I read it again, and you're maybe talking about the convertible TOP. different ball game than I was thinking.

 

I am pretty sure the bonnet is a U.S. hood, and a hood is the convertible top, and a boot is the trunk. I have not been across the pond since 83 to pick up the 928S, but I think that is how it goes. I have no answer for this one......Good Luck.....Mike
