Does anyone know if you can swop an aircon pump from a1996 xk8 with one from a 1998/2006 model simply by changing the wiring

 

have a parts store do a crossreference on both years in question and you'll have the answer

The aircon pump on my 1996 xk8 has failed and I have got one from a 1997/8 car. The only difference I can see is the wiring. The help I need is can I modify the wiring to make it work on my car
