Red face XK8 ASC warning.

Hi Everyone,

Now that the bad weather is with us in the UK occasionally I get an ASC warning as I pull away. I know this to be the Traction control kicking in but sometimes it comes on with the Orange warning light, sometimes not.
Anybody know what the Orange light is telling me??

The orange light is warnng you that the system has shut off. There's lots of commentary on the topic on this forum. People are cleaning the speed sensors, replacing front pads, getting fresh batteries and replacing wheel-to-harness wiring with some success all around. (I did them all and my warning had mostly gone away).

There's also a very good thread running currently about resoldering some connections in the ABS control unit. Easier than it sounds, apprently; that's my next step.

I think the ASC lights up when the traction control activates, and is normal operation. If the ASC NOT AVAILABLE message appears, then its most likely what spurlee referenced in his post.
