2004 sk8 conv. both back windows stopped working at the same time when I lowered the top. They are half way down, stuck. It sounds like there is something trying to work on both sides when I try to operate them but nothing moves.

You can try a "hard reset."

Remove both terminals from the battery and touch them together for 10 seconds, reconnect them and then start the car.

Try the windows/top operation after a short drive.

If that doesn't work, the roof closing sequence may be out of sync. You may have to re-program the windows for convertible top operation. I don't recall the procedure, but a search should locate it for you.

Thanks. I can hear both sides trying to work at the right time but nothing moves. Do you think this is a reset problem. I'm going to try your suggestion. Will let you know.
