Default XK8 Convertible Passenger Window Problem

2005 XK8 4.2S Convertible.
Hi everyone.....This (I think) is a bit of a funny one!
I'm having a few issues with the passenger window on my XK8 Convertible, in that it no longer responds to either of the window switches but works perfectly when I put the roof up and down.
I've recently had the door panels off to upgrade my speakers, so needed to disconnect the switches on both doors, however everything seemed to work ok after....but not now.
Could it just be a connection problem on the switch or something a little more sinister?
Thanks
Martyn

Do they work when turning and holding the key manually in the driver's door ? If that works, and they work OK with the roof, then I would suspect the switch pack in one of the doors.

It does the hood as well - if hood is down, you can hold the key like that and the roof will fold back up again while you hold the key. Not quite as cool as the jagwrangler remote key-fob kit, but still worth knowing about !!

Do a hard reset and see if to fixes the problem first.

Hi again......
Thanks for all your hep.
I've removed both of the switches and sprayed a little WD40 onto the connections and reassembled.....everything seems to work fine now, so hopefully it was as simple as that!
I'll give it a few more days and I'm sure something else will go wrong, as that seems to be the norm at the moment
