My top is going up "very slowly", and actually didn't make it up at one point and it fell back down. Subsequesntly it did go up, but I am wondering if this is due to the posibble old fluid (it's a '97) or the hydraulic motor is going?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Make sure its got the correct fluid level in pump reservoir, and make sure the t handle on the side is very tight

 

i had this problem too, jag dealer changed fluid, then it was ok
