Hi, my 2000 Convertible interior mirror needs replacing. I bought a used one and thought it would be the same as the model numbers are identical Donnely mirrors. Mine has a white plug the replacement has a yellow with an extra Brown wire (6). I am guessing this is for the auto wiper function which I do not have. Other wires are the same colour, Yellow, white, green, grey and black albeit in a different configuration at the plug. Thoughts are I would just unpin the wires and put them in the white plug on the new mirror in the colour appropriate slots of the original

Just asking for confirmation or .............. Advice.

 

My 2001 XKR Convertible has 8 wires from the mirror (auto dim and rain sensor). I think you have a mirror from an earlier car which had the yellow plug. Your best bet is to download the electrical guide for your car and the earlier model and work out the wire colours by comparing the two, if indeed they are compatible.
