Hi everyone

I'm hoping you can help with a problem on my 1999 XKR.

quite simple the dashboard is not functioning. No lights and the buttons don't work. It's been having some work done including a new battery, so thought it could be related. My first thought was a fuse, but i'm a total novice.

Any advice / ideas or just good pointers would be appreciated.

Can you associate the failure with any battery or other electrical system change?

First thought is that such work may have caused the instrument cluster module to fail. You do not comment on a fuse check so, just in case, here is the fuse chart:

Get that out of the way before we start making other wild guesses.

So i had a little fiddle today. i can see that the fuse that keeps going is number 3 in box A (furthest to the front under bonnet). the handbook says this is 'security sounder, headlamp levelling motors, headlamp levelling switch, ignition +ve, centre console switchpack.'

Listing all the work done prior to this fault should help get specific answers rather than general suggestions.

i had a new battery put in, new disc brake, new exhausts and re-spray.
