Default XK8 Sighting!

Yeah... I know this is lame, but I saw an XK8 EXACTLY like mine earlier today. We were driving towards each other and we both flashed our lights at each other almost simultaneously. As he drove by I was thinking "DAMN! That's a nice looking car!"

Yes it is!

Its wonderful how the simple things in life make us smile and we can celebrate with those who can appreciate it.

Although up here in the NE...I do not get that kind of wave. I guess we keep to ourselves. I use to always get an enthusiastic wave from fellow TR-6, TR-7, Fiat Spyder and 240Z owners when I was much younger...in New York no less!

Maybe we (I?) are too distracted by the adult realities of life...

Default Twilight Zone

It was a time warp. Next week you'll be driving the other direction on the same road at the same time of day and see yourself from the week before ... you probably thought the other driver was real familiar and had a nice watch.

Bad things happen when matter from two different times occupy the same space, just ask that polotician from Timecop.

Good point. Another bad one, and easily verified, is when two chunks of matter try to occupy the same space at the same time. Splat.

(It's rumored that an exception can occur if the two bits of matter are in a superposition of states, but that's probably best left for another day )

I have been hit with toast, toilet paper, rain..etc. I grew up in NY so we had the whole show. It was fun to be there at 19 years old...

My wife has never seen Rocky Horror, bless her heart. I'd love to take her but she has no interest. There's an old theater in Raleigh that shows it every Friday at midnight. I'm thinking about taking my 15 year old daughter. Do you think that's too young? She doesn't want to go, either, but since I'm her dad I have the power to force her to go with me. I can't do that with my wife.

Tell your daughter that your wife won't go unless she does and tell your wife your daughter won't go without her. Show them they can dress in costume and and grab your props...

Tough one...I watched it with my better half recently (she too had never seen it) and she, as well as I, were slightly uncomfortable.

Maybe it was my age (30 years later)...maybe it was the venue (big screen but NOT the theater experience) but I gotta say...it was odd seeing it recently.

Now Diane is 50 years old and can put the movie is some context. However...I could not image taking my 21 year old daughter...she would think Dad has gone over the deep end.
