XK8 steering rack replacement

My 2000 XK8 Auto (rhd) needs a new steering rack - (groan!)
My local Jag dealer wants £1100 to do it, but a nearby garage can do it for FAR less.
My question is:
Are there different kinds of racks?
Which rack do I need?
What other 'bits' do I need, or ought to renew anyway, if the rack is coming off?

If it definitely needs a new rack, the lowest I found for an OE new replacement in the UK is:

XK8 Jaguar Power Steering Racks NEW OEM Right-Hand Drive £249 MJC3900AC

If it's leaking and can be rebuilt with a seal kit, this brings it down to much more sensible levels:
