I want to replace the premium stereo in my 2001 xk8 and I believe I need part # LJA6318AB... but I want to be SURE. I see some places where that part is supposed to be from a 94-97 xj and other places where it says it is from a 97 xk8. I had checked with the folks from jagbits but they only had a used one for $75... I asked them to send me a picture but they wouldn't (and they list the part as a "CONSOLE TRIM MOLDING FOR SWITCHES AND RADIO FITS 1997-1998 XK8"). I didn't want to buy the wrong part so I then sent them a picture from this forum and they said that was not what they had... so I am confused (which is not anything new).

SO... what is the part # please from someone who has bought one before... all of the dealers I called were out of stock and not showing any ANYWHERE so I may have to go with a used one or just wait for stock to be replenished (although who knows when that will happen). Can someone help me, please?? And does anyone know where I can purchase the correct part - I know I can get the other pieces such as the Nexxia FP-14-00, but I am having trouble finding the Jaguar part that I need.

Check with forum member H2Oboy. There are two bezels you can use but one looks better than the other. There is a post about it but I can't seem to find it. I did this mod om my 2002 XKR and it looks a works great.

Thanks GGG and mj - that helps a lot as I can at least talk to a dealer or used part's guy and know what car the part came from... I talked to SNG Barratt and they didn't have one but now I can call around or look for 1997 cars that are being parted out...
