XK8 Throttle Problems
I have a 2000 XK8 coupe with 70k miles.
The past week wile I was driving and had a loss of power / throttle the RPMs slowly decline for a few seconds (wile declining I can floor it and nothing happens, no loss of anything else) then I regain throttle control. During this I have had it stall twice…
The odd part is it only seams to do this when I’m around 1/8 gas and more when I go around a corner… but will do it on a striate away when accelerating (less then 30mph)
So I’m not sure if it was the throttle body or the fuel pump… I do a lot of my own maintenance, replace my own parts… the car has been good to me…
Side note….. I was getting the “ASC / TRAC not available” cleaned my throttle body and it went away… and when that happened I got the “P” something code for throttle position sensor…
Any help would be great…

RE: XK8 Throttle Problems
If you got a p0121 then it is def a throttle problem.
Before replacing throttle, disconnect tps and look at pins. If you gave gold pins on tps and tin pins on harness side,
this could be the problem. You need to replace the tin pins with gold ones to correct concern.
