Default XK8 under carrige rattle

I have had at times fairly loud other times soft rattle from the under
the car some place and was thinking body mount to sway bar bushings
after all this is a '98 and rubber does rot - but today i was messing around
in back checking air in the spare and such and looking at the sizable battery
and touched the tie down bracket it was loose and rattled - seems who ever
replaced it just had the torx bolts finger tight and they had worked loose a t25
fit well enough to tighten it down likely a t27 i'll pick up one of those - and man
she rolls quite - one small battle won

Always nice when you find an easy fix. Well done.

I have had what sounds like a rumbling from the rear for probably several years that is noticeable mainly if I am driving in a parking structure and the radio is off. Sort of sounds like it is coming from the rear bumper area so I found that I can jiggle the bumper cover a bit. I seem to recall someone else here also found something loose with the rear bumper and tightened it up somehow. Of course it could be something else entirely and I have just ignored it since it is not that noticeable during normal street driving not at all when the radio is on.

The mounting brackets on the rear bumper are adjustable - at least in theory, as they are normally totally seized!
