Default XK8 Victory Edition Microphone

I got the bluetooth to work in my car by ordering a new microphone.
I have a convertible and it's the beige bump next to the upper console.
The microphone clips into the base and the wiring runs into the upper console where it plugs in.
The replacement came with two small Phillips head screws.

But the old one has something different, two plastic things that hold the base to the header.
At first I though they were small Torx screws.
But instead they look like rivets, picture attached

.
Seems a bit unfriendly.
Does anyone know what these fittings are and how to remove/replace.
I'd like to install the new microphone without damaging the header.

Thanks in advance for all the good advice here.

I don't know why the picture didn't post.
Here's another try.

The pic hasn't posted, but it sounds similar to the coupe's, which is held by a pair of pop rivets.

IIRC I removed them using a hand drill, as it's all a bit fragile. You can replace them with a couple of speed nuts and small stainless screws if you're putting the old fitting back.

Many thanks Michael.
As I feared, but maybe I can drill them out.
I just don't want to cause any cosmetic damage to the header.
It would be so useful to have the phone work through the car's sound system and wiring.
Including the mute function when a call comes in.
Oh well, almost there, I'll think about it for a few days and update.

About the images, that's a nuisance - maybe there is a size limit?

thanks, Steve
