XK8 & XKR Insurance difference

XK8 & XKR Insurance difference

I'm looking at purchasing either an XK8 or XKR 2000-2003 model years,and was wondering if there is a considerable difference with regards to insuring the two? I'm wondering if the supercharger on the XKR is going to cost me an extra appendage to insure her.
I would also like any input that you have regarding the differnces between the two.

Sure would! It'll cost you about $150 more, but that's just me. I'm 20 with 3 points on my license and I'm in Florida!

As a clean 35yr old driver, mine went up $60 a month. Of course, I had a Jeep Gr Cherokee, and my new jag was a regular, ol' XK8. No need for the extra 100HP here.

I know that you said you insurance went up $150, but is that quarterly/bi-yearly/yearly?

On my six month policy! It didn't go up for me, I just asked the insurance company how much it would be for the STR! I though it wasn't that bad, but it's $150 that I could save!
