If I could afford to own several nice cars, I would love to get a XK8 convertible just like yours (colour combo & wheels) to complement my coupé.

If it wasn't for that big pond in between us, I would gladly drive over and swap cars for a weekend or two.

*sigh* like you I doubt I can afford both. (the extra car is possible, it's the divorce afterward that would get expensive.)

Default Here are some shots of my baby

It has been lowered, wheels powder coated black. The lights are an interim treatment and will be upgraded in a couple weeks. Dash is graphite wrapped. Exhaust is custom x-pipe with Mina mufflers and electric cutouts. Blacked out emblems and chrome done with spray plastidip (my new favorite substance).

Rob - what kind of wheels are those?

Also - if you don't mind my asking, your name sounds familiar. Are you writing for CIO - by any chance?

Yes - but I clear the snow off the windows first.

Although I carry a set of AutoSocks, never needed them yet.

Talking of snow and going OT I put one rear wheel onto the snow to let an oncoming car pass (narrow road) and damned near got stuck.
Why doesn't traction control brake the wheel when the car's stationary ??

MKRs, I don't think they make them anymore. Finish started out machined aluminum but after hitting two curbs and finding out you can't fix that finish I had them powder coated black (cost me $150 a wheel) and the inside edge of the week is color matched to the car (really hard to see that part). (attached pictures of how the wheels started out).

Yes I write for a number of publications CIO is one of them. Apparently I was pissing off the Java folks this week.
