Thanks guys, I really appriciate the kind words. My XKR is parked right outside my window so I can see her; gives me something to work towards. I hope to be back behind the wheel within the next month.

Hehe, my XKR is parked in the basement and, if I take things steady, I can just about make it up and down the stairs to have a sit in her when the wife's out shopping. I pretend to turn the wheel and change gear like a 5-year-old while breathing in the smell of the leather

Frog and mjlaris- I wish you both a speedy recovery,,, And A Very Happy and Healthy New Year...

I used to tell my clients that "Your Born and then You Die,,, the DASH IN THE MIDDLE is your LIFE,,, You want to be able to look back and enjoy a happy book of MEMORIES" You do not get a SECOND GO-ROUND... So ENJOY Life while you can...

I went to a few funerals in 2010-2011 and found out that when they lower the box into the ground they just throw dirt in the hole,,, No Money,,, No Pretty Women,,, NO JAGS,,, JUST DIRT... So I woke up one morning and told the PBTW I am selling my Practice and I am going to start living LIFE... CAUSE IN THE END YOUR DEAD...

SO LIVE LIFE and ENJOY Yourself...

Richard Pryor once said,,, "My Daddy died in bed with a Beautiful Women,,, He was coming and going at the same time... Now if I had the choice of being hit by a BUS or dying in the arms of a beautiful women,,, I am going be in that LONG @#%%$#&^@* LINE!!!"

Have fun and ENJOY,,,

Happy New Year Everyone,,,

Selling the practice? Wow...I am impressed. I am trying to re-structure mine so I can keep it and still get out of Dodge. Time will tell.

But I have one (perhaps stupid) question;

What does "PBTW" mean?

Well JJ has the ISMW (Italian Super Model Wife),,, And down here the Joke at the golf clubs here are the OLD GUYS with the young SMOKING HOT WIFE... Who spends their days on Worth Ave in Palm Beach and blindly **** his money away...

Well I consider my wife Smoking Hot and I worked in Palm Beach so thats that,,, But I am only 48 and she Doesn't Blindly **** my money away,,, I SEE EXACTLY WHERE IT GOES.... We went to Ocala for New Years to see her parents for 2.5 days and she brought 4 pairs of boots,,, I mean seriously,,, the car is small enough, almost had to leave my golf clubs home...

Don't sell your business,,, I am bored,,, I fish by myself,, golf by myself...(friends still work) I still trade heavily if the market is volatile... But even that gets buggy after a while... Thinking of getting an underwater metal detector for when I dive,,, they just found a WWII Curtiss HellDiver intact in 200ft off Jupiter Inlet.

Have to agree with the Count....don't retire, keep the business...I have the same issues he has, closed the practice and retired at 48, ten years ago....skiing, sailing, biking, diving by yourself is not all that much fun even with the ISMW coming home every evening.....don't know if the Count's Palm Beach Trophy Wife is working or not, sounds like a contradiction in terms....but maybe we should meet up and take his boat out with him to keep him company....figure we have more of a chance of borrowing his boat and car than his golf clubs. Besides he will have two XKR's before long....

Or you could join us for our Loire Valley-Bordeaux rally this summer on this side of the pond.

cheers,

jj

I agree, don't sell the practice. Do like me, I teach (I'm a nuclear engineer) for 6 or 8 weeks a year, do some nuclear calcs from home from time to time, and am writting a book. Just enough to keep me from getting bored.

No longer own a boat,,, However: I do have my 100 ton Master Captain license and access to several of my friends and past clients boats... We are 57 miles from West End, Grand Bahamas with access to a home (Old Bahama Bay)... Right now the Dolphin,,, Black Fin Tuna,,, Wahoo(early morning fast troll) and Sailfish are hitting... You can always get Snapper and Grouper on a drift...

Come on Down... I took my Brother In Laws 42 Bertram out about 3-4 weeks ago with friends and we caught 4 dolphin(boated only 3) and 2 Black Fins.... in 8 ft seas

Thanks for the advice...but I have no intention of selling...just allowing myself the option of not being there...or being there to prevent boredom.

Ahhh... PBTW = Palm Beach Trophy Wife. Sorry guys. Sometimes I am a little slow on the uptake.

Hey when Frog and Mjlaris fully recover perhaps a collective Roadtrip and to take advantage of Counts offer...?

No,,, I like to fish. Those Go Fast Boats are neat but your asking for problems in them,,, Ever since Miami Vice and the murder of Don Aronow you can't go out the Inlet and back in without getting boarded,,, Gets OLD real quick,,, And forget coming back from the Bahamas and clearing customs...

Back in the 80's if someone ask you how big is your boat,,, A common reply would be 4 bails wide 10 bails long,,,

Occasionally the Square Grouper would be running... you just Gaff those,,, they dont move to fast...
