Assuming you have checked that the seller is not liable, I would first check for fault codes with a professional reader, and also have the fluid level checked.
The 6HP26 detects cornering by comparing the speed of the front wheels, if it detects a difference; the gearbox will not up shift so could be your problem. Check tires for correct circumvent (pressure/thread depth), or better check it with a professional obdii tool, that can read the wheel speed values, the variance should be smaller than 1 km/h.
